Here is "The Plan":
School:
- Finish this semester with 3.8 GPA or better
- Be succesful in my one year of Study Abroad
- Ace the LSAT
- Finish my International Studies degree with a 3.75 GPA or better
- Get accepted to an Ivy League Law School (preferably Harvard)
Flying:
- Finish my IFR rating by the end of 2009
- Get my single/multi engine commercial license by the end of 2010
- My instructor license in the first quarter of 2011
Politics:
- Get elected in to the state senate by mid 30 s
- Congress - maybe
- Senate - in my early 50s
It will be almost impossible to do both politics and an airline pilot career. But I like to have different options, my airline pilot career is conditional to me being healthy ... I don't want to find myself in a situation where I will have to retire in my 40s and starve to death.
The Ivy League plan is a way to test myself, and my commitment. I will probably not attend unless I get a full scholarship (junior pilots don't make enough money to afford Harvard Law)
